As I drove south on Ocean Parkway I glimpsed a big orange sun getting ready to set. It had dropped into the sea by the time I got to Coney Island but I was able to photograph the "aftermath".

Nathan's Famous

Don't forget to visit Nathan's for a hot dog in the "off" season. I love to drop by on a cold winter day for a bowl of hot chicken soup. My favorite is fish 'n chips. Hope to see you there.

Parting Shot

Deno's Wonder Wheel Park will now be closed until next Spring. It's such a family friendly place, so colorful, so much fun. Hopefully, the property next door formerly known as Astroland (then "Dreamland") will be developed into an equally enjoyable and affordable amusement park. The spirit of Coney lives and cannot be destroyed!

If you haven't had an opportunity to visit Deno's Wonder Wheel Park this season, take advantage of this holiday weekend to enjoy it. Otherwise you'll be waiting until next Spring.
